Medical Education

Within the department of Family Medicine at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, we emphasize education in all forms. Whether it be teaching patients ways to improve their diets, or our attendings participating and contributing to research and developmental conferences throughout the country, we are proud of our dedication to learning. A large part of this commitment is evident in our Residency Program. The program includes roughly thirty nine residents, who devote time to two of our five clinics. At each clinic there is a usual precepting ratio of one attending for two residents, which allows for optimal attention and teaching opportunity. Our close partnership to the FPIN organization allows residents a unique research and scholarship opportunity during their residency program that will help inform and prepare them for future practice.     In addition to our top notched Residency Program, Bronx Lebanon Family Medicine has a highly coveted Medical Student Rotation. Our rotation features both inpatient and outpatient experience, along with an opportunity to participate in research. We also offer multiple electives for those students who are interested.
