Key Staff Members attended the 45th Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) Annual Spring Conference in Seattle. This years conference set a new STFM attendance record with over 1,500 attendees, and included international guests from 13 countries. http://stfm.org/conferences/annual/an/index.cfm Amir Levine, PhD, presented a poster and made a presentation at the 4-day event. Dr. Levine's Poster, titled "Emerging Leaders" explained his experience during a year-long practicum to build leadership skills. His Presentation was on the "Approach and Design of a FPIN Program." Here, Dr. Levine describes the lessons learned in fulfilling FPIN program requirements. MaryAnn Jonaitis, EdD, Rn, CDN, CNS, CDE, presented a workshop entitled: "Integrating Resident-Led Shared Medical/Group Visits into a Family Medicine Residency Training Program." The workshop focused on the steps necessary to assist the residents in feeling comfortable with this type of patient care visit. |
