Taking Preventative Medicine to Jamaica

Kerone Thomas, M.D. PGY3, Anna Prishutova, M.D. PGY3Alketah Frazier PGY2 and Roger Green PGY2 in addition nurse Cecilia Carby,have been in Jamaica offering Preventative Medicine to those in need.  Their team is making a difference in lives of people who desperately need primary care.  The team was happy to report they saw over 850 patients in 4 days.  Services are provided in a clinic, inside a school on a mountain top.

With a formal hand off ceremony with Jamaican leaders and an interview that will broadcast island wide on the  8pm news Wednesday, 7/18/12, the team is scheduled to meet with the Ministry of Health to discuss what improvements can be made to improve preventative medicine.  They already have many recommendations at hand.
