Second-Year Residents attended the 12th Annual Sports Medicine Teaching Day

presented by the Bronx-Westchester chapter of the NYSAFP at the Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, New York on 10/7/12.

Through the course they learned how to betteridentify the role of family physician in promoting exercise and how to  manage problems resulting from sports and exercise.  Teachings also included how to incorporate taping and splinting in practice.

During the session Family Medicine Residents learned about collaborating with dietitians, therapist, athletic trainers and coaches to manage active people in a team-based approach.
