BLFM Resident Community Projects

At Bronx Lebanon Family Medicine we place a strong emphasis on local community interactions.  From Registrars, to Community Health Workers, to Administrators and Faculty, all members of our staff are involved in our local community.  Our residents are no different, and also relish this opportunity.  Each resident will complete at least one community project in their three years at Bronx Lebanon.  The projects are designed to familiarize the residents with their surroundings and our patient base.  As the project progresses the residents develop an intervention that encourages a greater appreciation of the patients health care needs, as well as educates the patients on how to make small changes to improve their quality of life.  At the conclusion of their project each resident will create a power point presentation in order to report to their fellow residents and faculty members.  Below are some examples of these presentations.
